Golden Poplars

I went out about 7.30 a.m. this morning, there were plenty of clouds about, so just waited until the sun broke through to turn these poplars into gold.  That is Ruby Island in the background.  While I was out I got some petrol, today it was $2.58, so has come down in price.  After b.fast I had a nice stroll into town, but was it windy!!! and busy!!!  There were lots of runners, cyclists, walkers, barking dogs, the lakefront was a hive of industry.  It has been very windy all day, but not too cold.  +22C.

I have just been out to pick up the leaves that have fallen off the Sycamore Tree.  BUT the more I gather, the more that fall off in the wind.  I think I will leave it until the wind dies down.  I scatter the dead leaves on the garden.
