Good Friday

A rare event: sunshine and blue skies on a bank holiday so it was to be made the most of. A walk for Bailey first thing (birkis out and blossom on the tree round the corner) and then I set to and made a simnel cake - slightly 'rustic' in places but it has been tested and it tastes OK. A bit of reading in the garden whilst Bailey moved in and out of the sun and the garden. And then our postponed march down to the pub for our tea, with a great view across the fields and along by the river. A good catch up with the bestest friend whilst the little prince came down in the car with his favourite.
Blip cheat with a collage in extras - including Bailey under the bench, the view from under the bridge and my salt-encrusted hosta pot - to mark the different elements of the day.
