It’s oh so quiet…
…now the girls have gone home!
Johnnie (SiL) arrived at lunchtime and after he had a bowl of left over curry and a cat nap they left. We have so enjoyed having them here this week, they are great company and so funny. They’re always taking off Frank and his Lancashire accent.
The house is so quiet now!
I got all the washing done and mostly dried outside.
The garden is coming on leaps and bounds now with the spring flowers.
In the house I’m working myself up to getting rid of more stuff. We don’t really have enough storage - mainly for art and hobby stuff - and we end up shoving things under the sofas and cabinets. I need to put my thinking cap on and reorganise.

Peace and Quiet!
Here we both sit now, in silence,
all traces of the grandchildren gone,
packed up in Minnie Mouse cases,
taken back home where they belong.
The sheets - indented with their shapes -
have been washed and hung out to dry,
the pictures they drew with felt tips,
spread out on the table now lie.
The chatter, the giggles and squabbles
will carry on in their own four walls,
while we sit and smile at the memory
of conversations and jokes we recall.
We’ll look at the photos of days out
and remember each little gem.
their sweet little jam smeared faces,
oh, how we already miss them.
I hope you all had a good Good Friday! Goodnight Blip friends :-)X
