Good Friday.
This is such an important day for us in the church calendar. Jesus Our Saviour died on the Cross to save us from an eternity of misery in hell. No one else was good enough to make such a perfect sacrifice. I am ever thankful He is my Saviour. Prayers for the disbelievers, doubters and those yet to find Jesus as Redeemer and Source of Salvation. Child heartedness and not over thinking it does help.
My daughter drove home from Leeds this morning to see us for a few days over the Easter holiday weekend.. It was her first time driving alone on the motorway but thank God it was a straightforward, problem free journey. We had a good chat, some lunch and then a long walk to Cut Wood and the reservoir. It is 17c and very sunny. We saw squirrels scampering in the woodland. There was a beautiful lone swan on the reservoir and some Canada geese.
Nearly all the Easter eggs have sold out in the neighbourhood shops.
This is a good thing for the retailers, and we have a living room with plenty of Easter eggs to eat gradually.
