Dragonfly Larva

I am told by my nephew that this is a Dragonfly Larva. (He knows this sort of stuff).  It appeared as I lifted the pots containing my pond plants out of the water with the intention of thinning them out. This little thing fell out onto the stone edge and in to bird splatter! I helped it back into the water (far too early for it to be out) and it quickly headed for the depths of the pond.
