rising, with the help of snow melt and beaver dams. Similar view nearly eight years ago from roughly the same spot with a wider lens.
Looking at past photos prompted me to snap a picture to show change over the years. Flood, drought, and wind have wreaked havoc on many trees that were once on the riverbank. The beavers have done their fair share of silviculture, (or should that be arboreal vandalism?)
I remember after coming home from a Scout camp my eleven year old eyes noted the changes wrought in the village high street after just one week away (and mum had redecorated my bedroom).
