Clearing more ground to plant spuds meant digging up these leeks. They are splitting at the bottom which is a sure sign of them ageing, drying out, ready to dig up.

I know the feeling, it seems I'm drying out, splitting and past my best. I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that so I will need to rage against it.

Yesterday the brides mother announced she is deaf with ear infections and has covid! The wedding is 11 days away. The groom was at her house at the weekend. This wedding has been cancelled already. I have everything crossed this celebration goes ahead, it's time to move on from disappointment.
