Purple Sandpiper

A very enjoyable cycle from Kirkwall to Roseness and back via Tankerness. Saw my first great skuas of the spring, 2 on the ness, plus whooper swans, great northern divers, shelduck, turnstones etc. The purps don't breed here but it will be early June before they are all gone.
