Fire in the Sky

A stop on our way back to Wales yielded a super sunset but the light on the clouds behind me also caught my eye.   We were there for mdf, cut in store to become panelling in Ruth's bedroom.    We also constructed Ruth's new bed, delivered this morning.   At 96kg, it's a heavy beast so we were very lucky the plumber dropped by to finish off his work just at that very time!   We also investigated dry rot , seemingly limited to the corner of one room.  The floors are concrete with parquet over but in one room a built in wardrobe had a raised wooden floor, the unvented space below was the source of the problem and it looks as though the fungus is no longer active so hopefully all that is needed is a little remedial work.   The wooden floor will not be reinstated!   Ruth is now registered with a new GP practice, the Dr this morning reassuringly friendly and helpful, another positive change following the move to this flat.

Home late but happy after a productive few days.
