Lovely evening

A few things planned for today but nothing which required too early a start. Bailey and I walked the big block before I settled back to some work and cracked what is needed for other folk to teach Year 8 next week. Not everything ticked off the work list but lesser jobs to be done before next Wednesday. 

An earlier than expected call from the burglar alarm man who came, made friends with Bailey, replaced the back up battery and serviced the alarm in quick time. Then a bit more sorting of books and things to be dropped off at the charity warehouse which I did this afternoon. There have been showers on and off all day (against the forecast) but no more drops fell once the decision had been made to postpone our walk to the pub until Friday. It was still nice enough to sit outside and read for a while once Bailey had had his last walk. He's going to have the house to himself when I go into work to be around when Y11s are in for revisions sessions. So there will be no lying in tomorrow.
