Reed Bunting #44
A nicely productive morning had us finishing the removal of the weeds from the paving and tidying the garage whilst we waited in for a parcel.
After lunch and the delivery we went off to Pennington Flash for a 3 hour walk around the hides. Lots of different species to be seen as usual and we added common sandpiper and little ringed plover to our annual list, but both were very difficult to photograph as they were directly into the sun.
We didn't get back home until nearly 6.30pm so it was a late dinner and a sift through a couple of hundred images (mostly of a pair of what might have been terns, but they were just too far away for a positive ID).
I liked this reed bunting which was taken appropriately from the Bunting hide :) There is also a female blackcap in extras.
I'm still trying to find time to catch up with your journals, but running out of time. I'm sure it will rain soon which will give me time to do just that - please bear with me.
