Unusual Bulb.

Spotted this Flower,  one of only two,  standing out from a border of other Spring bulbs.  Made various descriptions of it in Google and eventually came up with Fritillaria persica "Plum Bells".  Love the velvety look of the blooms which are apparently long lasting and also make good cut flowers for arrangements.  Often find the odd unusual plant in the borders of our town's parks - wonder if the municipal gardeners like to throw in something odd and unusual.
Squirrel made two visits to my deck today - I spotted a squirrel shaped shadow on my lounge wall.  When I knew he had gone I let Ginny out - she hadn't seen him but as the door opened an inrush of squirrel scent sent her flying out to the safety fencing all "teeth and hair" barking ferociously.  Then she investigated all the pots and tubs where it had been digging up stored food.  Made a return visit whilst I was having my lunch - Ginny was in a deep sleep sprawled out full length in the sun - missed it!
