Little red bastard!

Sorry, you may find this offensive, it's life in the countryside.
Last summer -I use that word lightly- I lost 26 hens to foxes, they were all taken on broad daylight, I was forced to lock my girls up and keep them in a run thus making them no longer free-range ... I have a three acre field!!
The six remaining hens and one cock were locked in for a few weeks until one day I stupidly thought it might be safe to let them out again, it came and took three. Time to lock up permanently.
This evening I watched as two foxes played in the field behind my house, one of them moved away in the direction of my field so I went down to head it off.
Too late.
This is not the fox I had been watching, this one had got in a lot earlier, killed all three hens and cock!

I know several gun owners, one of them helped me out !
