Spargel in der Sonne/ Asparagus In The Sun

The usual colour of Asparagus here is white, but we do get the green variety (and apparently also a purple one but I've never seen it).

Asparagus doesn't have many memories for me - unlike many people here who go absolutely nuts for it.  My earliest memory of it was a packet of Batchelors Asparagus Soup, a very odd colour of green  and a taste reminiscent of the smell of my school bag.

I'm telling you abou these things so you don't have to know anything about my day.  Be grateful.
