TAT.... but I love them
I have a thing...
Whenever I go to a seaside resort I wonder at the amazing display of tacky tat that can be bought in traditional tat emporiums. We British seem to do tat particularly well. I dont BUY this tat. i just like looking. From the traditional "dragon holding crystal" to "pottery piskie" I adore the tat and the tackier and badder the better for me. My favourite ALL TIME tat shop is in Whitby, North Yorkshire when I found the pinnacle of tat...I went on about these particular items that Charlotte on a return visit some months later finally put me out of my misery and bought me...
The John wayne salt and pepper pots.
The thing that gets me about these is not only the fact they are really badly printed with one "john" slimmer than the other but just the fact of.... WHY?
Either someone is playing to my particular market of wondrous finally tuned uber tat... or someone actually wants a matching pair of John Wayne salt and pepper pots... Either way, they give me much amusement and a strange pleasure.
