First day

We have several, actually many rhododendrons in our yard as this plant is so common here at the coast that they even grow wild in the forests. This cream colored one is always the first to open its blooms. You can compare it with the shot that opens a competition of sprinters. Soon two others of the same color will open, then followed by three bright red bushes. The last round, then already in May, will be small white ones. Who would have known, that even rhodi bushes have their own character?
