Kahukowhai

The Māori name for the Yellow Admiral butterfly is Kahukowhai, which means "yellow cloak".

Before there was a change in the wind, it was lovely and sunny. I noticed this Yellow Admiral butterfly sitting in the sunshine. Luckily it stayed long enough for me to get my camera. We got a few light showers and by later afternoon the sun was out again.

I went out for lunch today with my friend and her extended family. My friend's sister who lives overseas is visiting at the moment, so it was lovely to catch with her too. On Friday my friend has her birthday and it is the same date as Johns so we are going to go out for a meal together, a double celebration.
