Enjoying the calm

What a day.

Long story short. Arnie got a call early morning to be told Soul had died after being hit by a car the evening before. A little later, speaking to Sylvia, the understandably distraught wife of Soul, funds were transferred to enable the necessary arrangements to be made. Arnie and I shared our grief with Di, and others for whom Soul was special.

I had tried to call Sylvia on the number I had always had for her but it went straight to voicemail confirming what I had been told that her phone was giving her problems.

A little while later, a call from Sylvia, apologizing for missing my call and a subsequent call from Soul brought the relief that they were both in fact fine, but the reality hit that we had been the victims of a cruel scam to extort money.

The depth at which some people in this world have sunk beggars belief. We truly hope that what goes around……….
