I think these are the flowers of the blackthorn.

It's easy to get them mixed up with whitethorn blossom because they look quite similar.  But the big giveaway is that the blossom on the blackthorn appears before the leaves whereas it's the other way round on the whitethorn.

It's a good idea, later in the year, to remember where you saw blackthorn blossom because that's where you will find sloes.  And with not a lot of effort, they can be turned into sloe gin  …………………..
