Nicky and her Nikon

Wild flowers

I woke up at 5am sneezing, which often happens at this time of year due to hay fever. I also have really puffy eyes and red eyelids at the moment from the eczema on them, so I was feeling sorry for myself with all my minor ailments, but the good news is that my headache has 95% gone, and I tested negative today! When I tested positive it immediately showed a strong red line as a positive test, today it immediately showed only one red line indicating it was a negative test. As it is day 5 since I first tested I am now beginning to think I had Covid earlier than I tested, as being mainly asymptomatic I was not feeling sufficiently ill to cause me to test any earlier than I did. I will test again tomorrow just to make sure but I have felt fine today too so hopefully I am over Covid.

I enjoyed my walk with Xena today, I had my macro lens with me and was spotting all the tiny wild flowers that have come up - here is a selection of wild flowers, from left to right being Stitchwort, Forget me Nots, and Cuckoo flowers. It was rather warm in my coat, it was 18C and the forecast is for warm weather for the rest of the week and into the Easter weekend.

Last night we had an excellent judge for our camera club mono print competition. He really liked my one image and was torn between awarding it first or second place but in the end I got second place, and I was happy with that as he gave me very good feedback.

I have spent most of today trying to organise things for Tommy's 21st party at home in the summer - it will be a small party and as we gave his brothers a party for their 21st birthdays it is only fair that he has one too. All of them never had any parties when their friends had them for their 16th or 18th birthdays, so this is the one and only party!

I finally put some images from my trip to Harris and Lewis on Flickr, if you like you can see them here.
