Royal Spoonbill

We have had one of these beauties for 8 weeks. We think it had flown into a pylon and had injured its throat/ neck. It hasn’t been able to eat/ swallow but last couple weeks has started eating. Today we released it, It spent some time smelling and tasting the air. Very interesting to watch.
The cloud was overcast, but the light was beautiful.
