Dwarf green tree frog
Well, there I was this morning, wondering what elusive insect I'd be chasing around the garden with the macro, when there on the agapanthus leaves, right near the back door, I spotted this little frog. The frogs that commonly breed in our pond are brown marsh frogs, which have a far lower cuteness quotient than the one in today's posting.
This dwarf green tree frog is about three centimetres long, which means it's probably a female as the males are smaller. If it is a male it might say something like 'wr-e-e-ek ip-ip'.
Hours later it's still there. I hope it doesn't end up as a bird's lunch.
The extra shows a bit more of its features.
Thanks for hosting Sheol.
