Snow Day...What??

This is the latest snowfall in western Oregon history. Six inches in areas close by, and in the mountains, 3 to 4 feet. That's good for our summer water needs, but it feels cold, and weird. Here's a weak little poem:

Spring Snow Day

When we expect the warmth,
Great Mother brings forth
a blast from the north.

Cold Arctic winds
find us, my friends,
let's see when this ends.

Soon, I do pray.
Let me say today,
Please, no snow in May.
