Everyday I Write The Book

The fruit bowl was happy once I’d cleaned it out.

A productive day, not least because of my efforts in creating a bookcase out of stripped down and stained scaffolding boards. Looks very nice I must say.

Went to look at cars for the Dizzle. Coffee in Barker and Stonehouse where I bought a desk and a mystery object (none of the staff knew what it was but it looks nice). Couple of pints of Guinness in the local in the evening. Dominated rather by The Man From Croatia who was on his ninth beer when we got there and in garrulous full swing.

They pulled down the big cedar tree at the front of St Mary’s today. The background is on their Facebook page:

"Cedar Tree in the Churchyard: We are sad to confirm that a Tree Survey conducted on behalf of Woking Borough Council has condemned the large Cedar tree to the South of the Church Entrance as being “Unacceptably Hazardous” and concluded that it should be “removed as soon as possible”. Two further independent tree experts have agreed with this conclusion." Very sad.
