Spirit kettle

Spirit kettles were popular in the reign of Queen Anne, fell out of use, then had a revival in the Victorian era after the spirit available got less smelly then before. My money's on Victorian for this one, over ornate, copper, plenty of verdigris.

I tried rubbing it, hoping for a genie and three wishes, but no such luck. Maybe next time.
