Recommendation

If you love crime stories and thrillers, here's my warmest recommendation. Jo Nesbø's brick of a book is like a cross between Dostoyevski and Stephen King. It's a masterful depiction of Norwegian countryside, a faulted family, a strange relationship between brothers and a doomed love affair. Oh, there are crimes, too, but they are not so important is this epic.
