Watching the hickory tree grow

I noticed the catkins or tassels on the hickory tree in the backyard while we were working on the porch yesterday.  I tried to get the sun at the right angle this morning to do silhouette for mono monday but it was not cooperating.

So I used a little over exposure to get this shot instead.

Busy day of errands and then leaving for a girl trip to the mountains with my bestie Dee.
