On my way to a meeting, taking the stairs as usual [pause to polish halo] my eye was caught by a man intently polishing the banister.

This is a quick snap with almost no-one in view [just the corner of an elbow if you look carefully]. I love the lightness and the turquoise which lifts the interior of a rather heavy building. I also like how the camera has distorted the very precise art deco lines.

One of the most interesting points in the subsequent meeting was, as a throwaway, that research shows that our happiness dips significantly on Mondays then rises continuously through the week.
