A garden day

What a lovely day it’s been.
Garden work, planting up the purchases from yesterday.
The big trough at the side of the garden is the one that had the two big (dying) conifers removed from a few weeks ago, and we just want it to have some lovely colour and all year round interest now.
So, planted up today -
The salix I had for my birthday which I love;
Two grasses; transplanted from other areas six campanula; two new bleeding hearts, one white, one pink; two new variegated dogwoods; two different colour heuchera and the extra ranunculus.
Plus we also deconstructed the two pond barrels (still got the one left in the woodland section) and replanted one of them with alpines.
I’ve not had bleeding hearts (dicentra) before or heuchera, so will be interesting to see how they settle in.
Some more gardening planned for Easter weekend, weather permitting.
