Dragonfly Blades, Chatham Dockyard

We were up early and at them this morning! It was a beautiful start to the day, if frosty and bitingly cold. This didn't prevent us from a pre-breakfast run down to the village, around the secluded pond and back again. We rather enjoyed it.
Being a Sunday it was time for another micro trip, this time back to Chatham Dockyard. We've got yearly passes so it didn't cost us anything to go for another visit. Today's main image is of the rotor blades of a 1952 Westland Dragonfly helicopter - it's an extraordinary looking aircraft, like something from a retro sci-fi cartoon. The extra image, "Staying Closely Anchored To The Ground",  was taken a stone's through from the main image. Being a maritime location anchors are everywhere at the dockyard.
