Satisfying day

Spent several hours in the garden, cutting grass and generally tidying up.  Attacked some ivy in the hope I have stunted the growth and cleared the beds of dead leaves.
Stopped for several cups of tea in the warm sun.
This flower is meant to entice the birds for a drink and is a recent gift.
No2 son called in with a lovely bunch of red tulips.  He had been shopping and they were reduced to £1.38 (strange amount!) and he thought they would be an unexpected gift for me and such a bargain.
