Boats and Mini Golf

Today we went back to Ambleside, but this time by water and on foot.  We walked down to Bowness and took the "Swift" up to Waterhead.  

There we had a delicious lunch at the cafe at the jetty, then went to play crazy golf (see extra).  Great fun. 

We walked up to the park after that, where CyclopsJnr found a like-minded group of kids to rampage around a rocky outcrop with.

We walked back to the jetty and just missed a boat, which sadly necessitated a further stop in the cafe for cake before getting the next one...

We walked back to Grandma's house making for a total of about 10km walking, but CyclopsJnr still had energy to go scooting at the local park to show us some tricks.  There's a wee jump pictured in extras too.

By the time we had our (delicious) dinner at Grandma's he was ready for bed, and out like a light.
