Tyne Bridge

Another trip to the North East to watch Chester, this time at Gateshead. We arrived in plenty of time for some enjoyable geocaching along the Tyne before a visit to the Newcastle Tap opposite the station.

As far as the football is concerned, the worst ground in the division for watching football has amazingly managed to get even worse as the roof has now disappeared from the away seating area since my last visit (see extra). Fortunately it didn't rain and I suspect we won't be playing them next year as I think they will be promoted. In many ways it is a shame because the day out in Newcastle is always brilliant. Just a pity about the ground.

Not for the first time this season Chester were involved in another goal fest and lost 4-3. In fairness Gateshead probably just shaded it but it could easily have finished 4-4.
