Our sleeping place!

So the journey home was a bit of a lengthy one!

We left Cayo Coco on Friday morning around 11 am....our flight to Toronto was at 2pm and there were no problems.   After a 3 hour wait, we boarded our connection to Sydney at 9pm.    Unfortunately the fog over Sydney airport was so bad they couldn't land the plane!   So we then flew to Deer Lake, Newfoundland, to refuel.   This is an hours flight, then an hour refueling....we've now been on the plane for 4 hours for a 2 hour flight!!!   Another hours flight back to Sydney....and no go, still too foggy!!!   When they announced that we would have to return to Toronto there was a very heavy feeling on board the plane .... so 2 more hours, back to Toronto...and we arrived there around 3.30 am!!!   No sleep, now 7 hours on the plane...everyone was pretty exhausted.   Air Canada actually did a pretty good job at sorting things out and by 10.30 am were were heading back to Sydney!!  They put on an extra flight just for us!!!

This was our sleeping space from about 4 am - 10 am.....not the most comfortable, but with sleeping mask, ear plugs it was manageable.  Mind you all this happened with Terry and I still dressed for Cuba....shorts, tee shirts and sandals.!!   I was sooo cold i had to buy a sweat shirt and a blanket...anyway, somehow we managed to get thro it all....and by 4.15 pm today we were back at Big Hill!

I've never been so happy to see my home and Chance!

Now for a quiet and early night....afraid if i go have a nap i'll not get up again till tomorrow!

What a day!!!!
