Weir Cottage
There must have been a lot of rain overnight, I heard it on the roof of the campervan at times. When I woke up though the sun was streaming through and there'd been a sharp frost. I had a quick cup of tea and some cereal and took a walk out towards the river and a little weir near the Isis.
If yesterday's image was Morse's Oxford I think today's is Lyra's Oxford. That's Lyra Belaqua from the Phillip Pullman novels in which the rivers are a large component and the rushing water from the weir suggests the floodwater in 'La Bell Sauvage'.
After that I was soon packed up and by twenty past eight I was on the road home, arriving there at about half past eleven. It's good to be back.
