Fence restored

To assist the tree fellas we took the fence down to prevent it being demolished if one of the big boughs fell on it.
It was surprising it was still standing after the two storms considering two of the four posts were rotten. Today a young man came and dug out the old concrete, enlarged the holes, put in four new oak posts and refitted the gravel boards and the close boarded panels. I helped a bit.
All done by 2 o’clock and after he’d gone I tidied up, fitted the staves where the posts were and made a hedgehog passage under the back ‘gate’ .

Now drinking tea.
