All the way to the sea
14.0C and quite bright in the morning with cloud coming over during the afternoon. Breezy.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk just a little earlier than usual. No reason in particular. As we walked along to the entrance to the field with the bridle path we could see the new ridges and furrows created by the planting of potatoes. They looked like they went all the way to the sea. All of half a mile that is. I thought it might just make a nice blip :-)
Down on the beach the tide was out a good bit. There was lots of good hard sand. I let Maeve off her lead, but she just wandered along beside me and we made our way slowly along to the Fishermen's huts. Still not a soul to be seen. Strangely quiet. I don't imagine there was any reason in particular.
We went down to the water's edge in the channel where the boats come and go through the rocks. We looked out to sea. I had Runrig on the Nano. In my mind I was standing on the shore at Ardlamont Bay, looking across to Kintyre and Arran. It won't be too long until we will be there. Maeve is coming too :-)
