It's Flower Friday!

Today's offering is a bunch of lisianthus, bought in the supermarket yesterday.  Many thanks to BikerBear for her continued hosting.

Today's adventure was Taking Peggy Sue To The Vet....  She has lost a lot of weight despite constantly being hungry and we and her half term carers suspect a thyroid problem, which would be better treated.  Unfortunately Peggy  Sue hates trips to the vet.  She hates the cat carrier.  In fact she hates being handled unless she has given express permission.  The result of this is that she has only been to .the vet a couple of times in her 9 years.  Before the pandemic and a change of ownership at our vets, there was talk of home visits for her  but they are no longer possible.  To cut a long story short, we managed to get her there but we left with the only blood  drawn being that of the vet and nurse who tried to examine her.  We are returning next week, when the plan is to relax her with gabapentin before we set out and they will sedate her to take blood and examine her.  Wish us luck - we'll need it!
