Today is a sad day in the McNicol household.

You may have noticed that this weekends photos all revolved around Adam. Sadly that's because it was our last weekend with him - after the school run I will be taking him to the vets and he will go to sleep.

Its been such a difficult decision, but like I've said to the children, we should take comfort that we 've given him (almost) 7 years of love and happiness - we rescued him whilst living in Gosport and we don't know his history apart from that he came from Ireland - looking back it was probably quite a risk adopting an adult dog we knew nothing about when we had young children (Callum was 1 and I was pregnant with Hope) - but he was the perfect dog for us and is leaving us with lots of memories.

It will be strange walking through the doorways of our house and not tripping over him as he always chose the most inappropriate places to lie down lol.
