Surprise gift

It has been a chores day today. No 1 son has gone back to Scotland and the schools are back so I thought it was time to catch up with cleaning, bed changing and ironing!

The warmth of the weekend has brought lot of buds and flowers forth and I went out to photograph some miniature iris that have appeared since yesterday. It is many years since I planted them and they can flower as early as February. I had completely forgotten they existed and immediately thought blip but my attempts to get a clear shot was foiled by the strong wind making focus very tricky.

Nearby in a pot is this Anemone which unbeknown to me was delivered by a short blond lady (according to my son) whilst I was at church yesterday. I have no idea who this was but I am very pleased to accept them! They have provided me with a lovely blip for today.

Need to find the right spot to plant them now.
