Mugdock Castle

Mugdock Castle is sited in Mugdock Country Park, East Dunbartonshire. This photo of the south face shows the single remaining tower of the castle which was built in the 14th century.  The castle was in use until the mid 17th century.   The tower, which is open to the public, has been renovated as a museum and is protected as a scheduled monument
