The Storr
On our last full day on the island our plan was to jump in the car and aim for the blue skies.
This took us to the Storr, a rocky 719m hill on the Trotternish Peninsular, seen here from Loch Fada. Headed up part of the way to enjoy the views before heading back to the car to avoid one of the many heavy rain/sleet/hail showers moving rapidly towards us! Made it back with seconds to spare! Managed to stay dry for the rest of the afternoon until we got a complete soaking on our final stop back at Sligachan. Then back to the lodge for hot drinks, drookit but happy.
