Pasque Flower
I saved this for today rather than next week as I don't trust the weather. We had hailstones of 1 cm today, I even brought the daffodils inside to prevent damage.
Pasque flower, (Pulsatilla vulgaris) flowers around the time of Easter. When I was learning the binomial system, back in the '60's, it was known as Anemone pulsatilla, but is now recognised as a member of the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae).
Thank you for the congratulations for my 4015th blip, in reality I have been blipping for 11 years and three months but have gaps I still need to fill.
