Clay Pigeon Shooting

Everyone on this weekend's safari trip had an absolute ball! On Saturday they were taken out on a game drive, early, before 'Brunch'. On their return we had brunch, comprising mostly of Friday night's leftover 'braaivleis' (bbq'd meat) and lovely, fresh bread rolls.

Thereafter the braver ones amongst us participated in 'Clay Pigeon Shooting' with hail guns and later they did some pistol shooting. I was quite surprised at the success rate, I must admit!

And please don't think this is all Sandra can do extraordinarily well!! She cooks up a storm in the kitchen too and she is a very professional career woman to top it all!

This weekend outing meant a lot to me, I made new friends, although almost all the people present were acquaintances, and all of us were equally stressed out through every day life, and were able to clear out the cobwebs by enjoying the lovely company, chatting and joyful laughing, the fresh farm air and the quiet environment, not even a car passing through! Whoohoo!!

Saturday evening, after supper, we all sat around the camp fire, like Friday night, and, believe you me, Sandra (the girl in the picture) pulled out her guitar and boy, CAN se sing!! Her daughter, Nadine, joined in at a stage, angelic, nothing less than angelic! These two women have talent to die for, we were almost reluctant to sing with them, you are scared you might miss out on the beauty of their voices!!
