hooray, my maidenhair ferns, or at least two of them, have survived the winter. It has rained all day for yet another and this is great for all my plants. I think it rains tomorrow and then we have sunshine for the weekend. 

Russia has been suspended from the UN Human Rights Council. This is despite Russia threatening any country that voted against them. Trying Russia for war crimes would not be possible if they had veto power on the Council.

Canada pledges nearly $400 million in new military aid to Ukraine. 

Russian spies are being kicked out of Austria. The expulsions began with the US and Bulgaria, then Slovakia and Poland and the Baltic states, then France and Germany. Can you imagine how much it is going to suck to move from Europe back to Russia?

Britain is giving Ukraine Manpads. Are there any women reading that sentence who did not wonder why men need menstrual pads? It stands for man-portable air defense systems. They are shoulder-fired missiles. 

Finally, a dog was reunited with his/her owner in Bucha. Nessy, a Husky, was founding an abandoned car when Ukrainian forces took the town back. When she saw her owner she ran to him and howled and howled, clearly telling him everything that had happened.
