Got him at last

I was determined to get some goldfinch shots today so I set up the tripod in the conservatory as it was pouring outside. 

With my 600 lens I got off a few shots and put them on the iPad and while that was happening I spotted a couple of Chaffinches but they managed to escape (first time in our garden)

Just as I was ready to pack things away this cute Robin landed on the branch of  the Tibetan Cherry Tree, I saw he had something in his mouth and when I uploaded the photos  his beak was filled with bugs. I concluded that there must be a nest somewhere in the garden.

The weather finally cleared up about seven so we managed a doggie walk.
