Tracy's Take on Life.

The semi final.

Today my football team - Dundee United - were playing at Hampden Park in a Scottish Cup semi final against Celtic.

It had a lot to live up to - the other semi final yesterday was quite a game and ended 4-3 after extra time.

This was the scene before the game began - United fans holding up cards in the teams colours, tangerine & black of course. It was a lovely sight, and made me proud to be a United fan.

Well the game was a rollercoaster - they scored after just one minute, and I thought we were going to get thumped. But we fought back to 1-1, and then took the lead to 2-1. They equalised and then went 3-2 ahead, but then we scored again so the game ended 3-3 after 90 minutes.

So we had to play extra time of 30 minutes, in which their substitute scored. Despite our best efforts to score again we couldn't (although nearly came close by hitting the post). So unfortunately we didn't make it to the final.

But as the underdogs at the start of the game, and having played really well I was very proud of the team, and even on the journey back to our buses & cars all the fans were singing & laughing.
