Volterra

After the blue skies and hot sunshine of recent days it was cooler and cloudier today. Mr P and I set off for San Gimignano in the morning. Quieter than previous visits. Marvelled at the medieval skyscrapers.
Off to Volterra for a late lunch. I love this beautifully preserved Etruscan hilltop town but it was chilly today. Needless to say as soon as Mr P and I got back in the car to head home, the skies cleared and the sun came out! Stopped off at the beach on the way back.
