Almost There

The penultimate distance marker on the Prom on our afternoon walk. The "1 Mile" is just a bit further one from the athletics 'metric mile' point here at 1500m. Strange that the 1500m became the blue riband event of middle distance running when 1600m is much closer to being equivalent to a mile and is much more conveniently 4 laps of a standard 400m track.
