A Little bit of Ukraine

This photo of myself and my Dad was shot in Dublin circa 1954 by a street photographer who plied his trade for over thirty years on O'Connell Bridge in the City. He was always known simply as "The Man on the Bridge" but in fact he went under the name of Arthur Fields. Originally his name was Abraham Feldman a Ukrainian Jew whose family had to flee their homeland due to persecution in 1885. Arthur was born in 1901 and died in 1994 at the ripe old age of 93. He shot his last street portrait at the age of 87.
